Accela Vargas (アクセラ・バルガス, Akusera Barugasu) is a character from the Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series. She is the daughter of Excel Walter, wife of Castor Vargas, and mother to Carla Vargas and Carl Vargas.
Appearance[]
Accela is a member of the dragonewt race like her husband Castor, though her dragonewt traits appear mixed with those of the sea dragon race from her mother Excel. She possesses blue hair, a tail, wings, and horns, though her horns do not have multiple prongs. Otherwise, Accela's appearance closely resembles that of her mother.
Personality[]
Accela has a great devotion to her husband. Even after Castor disassociates with her in order to protect her from repercussions during the civil war, she continues to act as though they are still married and communes frequently with him. She acts motherly, with Castor stating that she often would nag at him about his habits, reminding him of his mother.
Biography[]
Accela was born to Excel and Excel's unnamed second husband, a dragonewt. Her father died early for a dragonewt due to a disease, but it is unclear how old Accela was at the time. Once she was an adult, Excel disowned her as she did with all of her children. Aside from Castor, their children Carla and Carl, and her mother Excel, she has one known brother (unknown if he is a half brother or full brother), which makes Juna her niece.
Accela's husband Castor initially met her when he was attempting to seduce her mother Excel. Excel rebuffed his advances, but encouraged him instead to pursue Accela. Eventually the two married and lived together in Red Dragon City as Castor was the head of the Elfrieden Air Force. They had their daughter Carla at approximately the same time as Liscia was born, as both Carla and Liscia would later attend the military academy together, and their son Carl several years later.
Before the civil war conflict began, Accela and Carl were disassociated by Castor from the Vargas family in order to shield them from the repercussions of treason in the event that Castor was on the losing side. Unfortunately Castor was defeated and taken captive along with their daughter Carla, who stayed by Castor's side even though he attempted to disassociate her as well. Accela and Carl were sheltered by her mother Excel during this time. After Castor and Carla's trial, Accela and Carl would return to Red Dragon City, with Accela overseeing the Vargas domain until Carl comes of age. She is assisted in this matter by Tolman.
