Brad Joker (ブラッド・ジョーカー, Buraddo Jōkā) is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series.
Appearance[]
Brad is a fair-skinned man who looks to be in his mid-to-late-twenties despite being young with silver-white hair and sharp golden eyes.
Working as a doctor, he normally wears a white coat.
Personality[]
Brad has a generally relaxed attitude, but he becomes quite stubborn when arguing, which he often does with Hilde Norg. He does not have an implicit trust in organizations, preferring instead to go his own way when making decisions. This causes him to push work he deems unnecessary onto others, the most common example being medical lectures onto Hilde. He is forward thinking as he was one of few who believed the medical statements of the three-eyed race prior to Kazuya Souma's medical and public health reforms.
Biography[]
It is unclear exactly how Kazuya Souma met and recruited Brad into helping him pioneer the medical and health reforms. However, due to his attitude of medical care for all, it is possible that Brad had been travelling with the refugees from the north.
Brad is apparently not well liked by other countries, as during his medical training he apparently dissected humanoid corpses to better understand anatomy. As such, he is perhaps the leading surgical expert in Friedonia, if not all of Landia. Brad's first appearance in the novels was in the refugee camp outside of Parnam where he performed a Cesarean section operation with the aid of Hilde Norg.
Though Brad and Hilde often do not get along, they put aside their differences when it comes to their patients. Together, they helped train the new doctors and nurses in Parnam before moving to Venetinova with her and opening a clinic. Although he frequently had wanderlust, Brad remained with Hilde when she became pregnant with their child. As Hilde might be regarded as the royal family doctor, Brad shares this role as the surgeon.
Currently, Brad is in Venetinova along with Hilde and their daughter Ludia under the additional protection of royal guards due to Hilde's light magic apparently changing.

Light Element: Brad has some amount of magical capability with the Light element. As Light is the magic element of healing, it is suited to his path. His magic has recently been acting abnormally.
