However, he is also compassionate towards those under his care. He is occasionally unsure of himself, but remains stout in his morals and decisions once made.

He quickly fell in love with Sandria, whom he valued beyond her status.

Biography[]

Ginger's parents passed away when he was young and he grew up with his grandfather who was a slave trader. After the death of his grandfather he inherited the slave shop but was unwilling to take up the profession and instead planned to sell the business and start some other business. Ginger struggled after inheriting the slaves due to his own personal aversion to economic slavery despite the Elfrieden culture utilizing it as a sort of welfare.

When Ginger took over his grandfather's slave shop, he would bring together the slaves there and after learning of their situations, vowed to only allow the slaves to be sold as families and to those of a more generally good moral standing. The burden of his conflicting personal morals and current status would continue to weigh on him as he struggled to find what he deemed as suitable owners for the slaves for several months. The slave who had become a spokesperson for the group, Sandria, would aid Ginger in securing the future of her fellow slaves by assisting in teaching the others reading, writing, and arithmetic.

When Kazuya changed Friedonian policy towards nobility that deemed territory could be gained or lost due to management performance, the supply of talented individuals quickly dried up and many nobles turned to the slave markets in search of those who could read, write, and do math. Ginger would see an sudden influx of such nobility at his shop, and would sell all the slaves under his care under his own terms to more reputable persons. All of these kept families together, with most also vowing to free the slaves as well. One example of this would be the sisters Anzu and Shiho being sold to Piltory Saracen, who would free and even marry them. Eventually, it was only Sandria who was still with Ginger.

At some point during the nobility's slave rush, word had reached Roroa's ear of an unusual slave trader. She was quite interested by the rumors she had heard and after speaking with Kazuya, he was likewise interested. The two would travel to Ginger's shop, Kazuya in disguise, where Kazuya offered to buy Sandria. However, both Sandria and Ginger had begun to develop feelings for each other and thus refused Kazuya's offer with a sudden expression of these feelings. Kazuya was shocked by the sudden turn of events, but revealed himself and discussed the true reason he had come was to speak with Ginger about his future.

At Kazuya's insistence and with his financial support, Ginger and Sandria would open what became Ginger's Vocational School to serve as a new place of learning in Parnam. The school would operate differently than the Royal Academy, willing to teach both children and adults from all classes of society and promoting research and instruction in fields that the Royal Academy did not. It was at the Vocational School that subjects like Hilde and Brad's medical program began and Morse Butchy's music study would come from. Ginger would serve as the headmaster of the school with Sandria as his secretary.

Although the pair had expressed their feelings and did wish to marry, Sandria would hold her status as a former slave as the reason she could not actually marry Ginger. Ginger would reach out to Kazuya when Sandria told him the story of how she became a slave as it had occurred in the Gran Chaos Empire. Kazuya would make a special request to Maria that the persons responsible for her enslavement be captured, to which Maria agreed. After they were captured, Sandria and Ginger were given special access to the private Friedonian-Gran Chaos Jewel Voice line where she was able to see her family again. With her reasoning resolved by Kazuya and Maria, Sandria agreed to marry Ginger. The two would marry on the same day as Kazuya's own coronation and wedding as part of the joint celebrations across Parnam.

Ginger is currently continuing to serve as the headmaster of Ginger's Vocational School.
