Gouran Taisei (ゴウラン・タイセー, Gouran Taisē) is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series.
Appearance[]
Gouran Taisei is a large-bodied, stern-faced male snow monkey. He has a muscular body and has sideburns and beard that has merged into something that looks like a white lion’s mane. He wears a white robe and white cape with shoulder pads that makes him look like a person of high station.
Personality[]
Gouran has a the air of a warrior about him. However, he is also intellectual and insightful, seeing several steps ahead in situations. He has a strong sense of leadership, and looks towards the future of the Republic of Turgis.
Biography[]
Gouran was selected by the Council of Chiefs in the Republic of Turgis to serve as Head of State at some unknown point. It is suggested that it might be at least 16 years prior to current events as Kuu, Gouran's son, has always known Gouran to be the Head of State.
When Kazuya traveled to the Republic of Turgis in search of skilled craftsmen to make medical equipment, Gouran was contacted to arrange a meeting to discuss the formation of a medical alliance. The two would meet in the town of Noblebeppu, with Maria Euphoria also joining in via Jewel Voice Broadcast. The three leaders would agree to various terms of the medical alliance, forming the Tripartite Medical Alliance.
Gouran considers himself to be a member of the older generation of world leaders. With both the Gran Chaos Empire and Kingdom of Friedonia being lead by, comparatively, young blood, he has a distinct feeling that should the Republic maintain its traditions at any cost would cause the country to fall. As such, Gouran sent Kuu to serve as a temporary vassal under Kazuya in Friedonia, eventually granting him ambassador status as well, in order to broaden Kuu's worldview so that he might succeed Gouran and lead the Republic into the future. It seems as though Gouran is willing to undertake the risk of upending the Council of Chiefs, and thus the current Republic governance, to ensure Kuu leads the Republic in the future.
Gouran is currently still serving as the Republic of Turgis's Head of State.
