Hakuya Kwonmin (ハクヤ・クオンミン, Hakuya Kuonmin) is a recurring character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series.
He was the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Friedonia who was known as the "Black-robed Prime Minister". After the loss of the Gran Chaos Empire in the war against the Great Tiger Kingdom of Haan which resulted to the split of the Empire, he become the Prince Consort of the new Euphoria Kingdom after marrying its current Queen, Jeanne Euphoria.

Hakuya is an intelligent young man of around twenty who normally wears a black robe like outfit. He appears to have pale and slender body with shoulder-length black hair that looks unkempt, a cold, calculating demeanor. Due to him wearing mostly black robe, he earns his nickname as Black-robed Prime Minister.
Personality[]
Hakuya appears to be emotionless most of the time, and is very shrewd and calculating. He follows his king's realistic approaches and at times, exemplifies Machiavelli's ideas of using harsh methods when necessary to obtain goals. However, he does have a gentler side and finds amusement in teasing the king or complaining about him with Jeanne Euphoria. He has a great interest in books and obtaining knowledge of all kinds.
Biography[]
Hakuya Kwonmin was introduced to Souma E. Friedonia as one of the five winners of the Talent Search. Incidentally, Hakuya wasn't interested in competing at all until his uncle pushed him into it. He had spent most of his time reading books of all kinds and didn't socialize much. Hakuya was deemed as the one with the greatest knowledge of all the Elfrieden Kingdom's laws and his memory was second-to-none. Though Kazuya initially offered Hakuya a judicial position, Hakuya turned it down, saying he that he was only interested in reading books.
Kazuya then piqued Hakuya's interest by offering him the position of librarian, which would allow Hakuya to read rare books that weren't in circulation. Hakuya later accepted the role of Prime Minister, due to his diplomatic and negotiation skills, thereby allowing Marx to retire and become chamberlain for the former Elfrieden King and Queen.
Hakuya would play a pivotal role in advising his king on how to deal with the rebellions of Georg Carmine and Castor Vargas, the invasion of the Principality of Amidonia, the occupation of Van, the secret bipartite alliance with the Gran Chaos Empire and the annexation of Amidonia.
Following the annexation of Amidonia, Hakuya continued to play a large part in the various schemes to protect the kingdom. When the Orthodox Papal State attempted to gain deep influence, it was Hakuya who asked that Souji Lester be appointed as the Lunarian bishop in Friedonia. Having the authority, he would send members of the Black Cats to collect and protect Souji from any travel inconveniences. Hakuya would also aid Kazuya in the planning of what would become the Tripartite Medical Alliance with the Republic of Turgis and the Gran Chaos Empire. He would foresee the need of powerful water mages during the Friedonian military expedition to aid the Union of Eastern Nations and would preemptively dispatch Excel Walter to Lastania, and then Juna to bring Excel back to Friedonia afterwards.
Serving as Prime Minister, Hakuya is perhaps the closest retainer of Kazuya. As such, Hakuya has had many instances were Kazuya's actions have caused him great trouble due to Kazuya not thinking as deeply about the ramifications. As he is the main contact for Friedonia in the secret alliance with the Empire, he routinely discusses his frustrations with Jeanne Euphoria, who shares similar issues on her own end. While he is generally collected with his thoughts, when something unexpected occurs he can become just as flustered as Kazuya.
Hakuya has also served as a tutor, beginning with Tomoe Inui and later including Ichiha Chima and Yuriga Haan. When Hakuya suggested sending the three to the Royal Academy, Kazuya agreed. Tomoe and Ichiha would receive some of the top scores on the entrance exam, with Yuriga also passing due to her asking Hakuya for additional studying assistance.
As the Prime Minister and close retainer to Kazuya, Hakuya has been inundated with many marriage proposals. While he has expressed no interests in marriage at this time, Hakuya did agree to the joking suggestion of Maria Euphoria that he marry Jeanne Euphoria. However, nothing has come of this at this time.
Hakuya is continuing to serve as Prime Minister, currently preparing for the encroaching conflict with the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago.

Eidetic Memory[]
Hakuya has the ability to remember everything that he reads. This trait, in which he used to remember every law of Elfrieden, caused King Soma to recognize him as one of the five major winners of the Talent Search. Due to his Eidetic Memory, Kazuya attempts to place him as head librarian of the national archive before being reassigned as Prime Minister after proving to Marx, who had been assessing his skills, that he had been more than worthy of the position.
