Ichiha Chima (イチハ・チマ) is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series. He is the 8th and the youngest child of "Mathew Chima", the Duke of Chima.
Appearance[]
Ichiha is a boy of around the age of ten with a thin, sickly body and wears glasses. Having the same attractive features as his sister, He looked like young man who would have grown up to be beautiful and literate.
Personality[]
Ichiha is a shy and introverted boy. Due to his constitution and interests, he is not regarded as talented unlike his older siblings by most, feeding into his withdrawn personality. Because many have looked down on him, Ichiha can be self depreciating. However, he shows capacity to stand up for those he cares about when they are attacked by others.
Biography[]
Ichiha Chima is the eighth child of Duke Chima. Due to an unknown condition (later identified by Hilde as a respiratory disease) he frequently found himself bed-ridden. While his siblings distinguished themselves through various means, Ichiha was considered to be untalented and useless, even by many in his family. His only known supporter in his early life is his elder sister Mutsumi.
At some point, Ichiha took up sketching as a way to do something, with his primary subjects being the monsters that frequently attack the Duchy of Chima. As he sketched, he began to notice certain commonalities among monsters based on the parts that they had. This led to him beginning to sort monsters based on common parts or part categories (wings, multiple heads, etc.).
When Kazuya arrived in Chima to support the duchy, Ichiha was found by Tomoe when she accidentally got lost exploring the castle. Tomoe would convince the reluctant Ichiha to show her his sketches, causing her to believe that he had a talent that Kazuya would be interested in. After meeting Kazuya, who did indeed realize Ichiha's potential, Ichiha was still unconvinced.
During the Duke's victory celebration after the end of the battle against the monster wave, Kazuya passed on selecting any of Ichiha's elder siblings to be a retainer or marriage partner despite being given first pick. After all six siblings were selected however, Kazuya publicly asked to have Ichiha come to study in Friedonia. While many, including Ichiha himself, saw this as a poor exchange for Kazuya, Duke Chima allowed it.
After arriving in Friedonia, Kazuya had Ichiha work with Hakuya to publish his sketches and classification system into the Monster Encyclopedia. Later, Ichiha would be one of the primary speakers at a symposium on monsters at the Royal Academy.
Due to his expertise in monsterology, Ichiha was selected by Kazuya to join him on a secret expedition to the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago. There, he was able to put together a rough picture of the monster Ooyamizuchi and guess as to some of its abilities from survivor reports.
Ichiha is currently attending the Royal Academy along with Tomoe, Yuriga, Velza, and Lucy. His respiratory condition is getting better due to better air quality in Friedonia compared to the Duchy of Chima which borders deserts and is expected to recover as he grows.
Abilities[]
Ichika is blessed with a gifted mind and genius intelligence. He especially possess a talent for analyzing, organizing and sketching. On his own and from a distance, he was able to study the monster attacking the Duchy of Chima by sketching them and categorized them in a easy to understand fashions. This greatly impressed both Souma and Hakuya, who are very intelligent themselves. They would each comment on how immense Ichiha potential is based on the fact that he's 10 years old when he did all this. Souma considers Ichiha to be the most talented among Chima siblings, who are all considered very talented.
