Lauren Fran (ローレン, Rōren) is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series.
Appearance[]
Lauren is tall at 180 centimeters and quite muscular, but her facial features still retain a touch of femininity.
Personality[]
Lauren has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to both the country and people of Lastania. Despite her age, she does what she can to protect her comrades, even when that means surrendering command to a more experienced individual such as Julius Amidonia. She possesses a tactical mind as well, supporting the plan Julius had developed to hold out against the monsters.
Despite her more rugged demeanor, Lauren also has a feminine side. She is prone to romantic fantasy, specifically the one she has crafted for herself.
Biography[]
Lauren is introduced as a Captain in the Lastanian army. Because of the nation's small size, the military is likewise small, with an active force of just 500 troops. Lauren's Captain rank was therefore high enough that she commanded all the active forces. During the monster wave invasion of Lastania, Lauren quickly realized the valuable knowledge possessed by Julius Amidonia, who was currently residing in the country, and Jirukoma, the leader of the Lastanian Volunteer Army. She ceded her command to Julius, making him the commanding officer of all the Lastanian forces fighting the monsters.
Together with Julius and Jirukoma, Lauren worked to hold the capital city of Lasta until reinforcements could arrive to aid them. She was surprised, yet grateful, at the arrival of the wyvern cavalry and the dratroopers from Friedonia, being particularly impressed by Halbert Magna's display of knocking away the bolts launched at him by an anti-air repeating bolt thrower.
During the battles, Lauren had begun to develop feelings for Jirukoma, but was unsure whether to express them as she did not believe that she was his type. When the main Friedonian force arrived in Lasta, it included Jirukoma's sister Komain and Serina, who had come as aides to Poncho. Both women recognized Lauren's feelings before anything had really been said and confronted her about them. Serina caught Lauren off-guard by questioning how many children Lauren had envisioned having with Jirukoma, to which she rapidly and unthinkingly responded three in front of Jirukoma. Realizing she had said this aloud in front of him, Lauren fled in embarrassment. The two would go on to share their feelings for each other and would later marry alongside Julius Amidonia and Tia Lastania. The two would go on to quickly have multiple children in the next few years.
Lauren became the head of the Lastanian royal family's security detail following the events of the demon monster wave. When the threat of Fuuga's unification troubled Julius, he would preemptively send Tia, her parents, and a number of other Lastanian refugees ahead to Friedonia. Lauren, who was again pregnant, accompanied Tia during this departure, though she was agitated at not being able to defend her country. She is continuing to act as a part of the Lastanian royal family's security as she awaits the coming of her next child.
