"Chapter 14: Ultimatum" is the 14th chapter of the "Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki" Manga adaptation. It was first released on October 10, 2018 on "Overlap:Comic Gardo" Online Publication.
Summary[]
Castor is conflicted when Georg refuses to say anything. Carla comes in saying she got a letter from Liscia telling her to make peace with Souma. Castor gives Carla another chance to be with Excel Walter but Carla refuses. In the throne room of the Elfrieden Kingdom, Souma meets with the three dukes via gemstone broadcast. Souma gives all three dukes one last chance to obey his orders or be known as rebels.
Souma plans to assimilate the three armies into one which enrages Castor as the three dukes were made to oppose the king should he become a tyrant. Souma says that such process would work during peaceful times, but these are times of strife. Souma says that if he is to become a tyrant than they can claim his head. He also mentions that their position in the army won't be replaced. Excel asks about the new city and Souma mentions that Lagoon City will remain the primary navy port. Excel then bows down to Souma.
Castor Vargas doesn't stand down and refuses to accept Souma without knowing what Albert Elfrieden was thinking. That said he will only fight with 100 of his knights while the rest stay neutral. When asking Georg Carmine why he took in the corrupt nobles, Georg replies that it was his pride as a warrior. Souma calls him an idiot saying that he'll die if this keeps up. Souma offers up the rules that if the noble on one side is captured or killed, their soldiers will surrender to the winner which all parties find acceptable.
Before Georg leaves, Liscia cuts off her hair to prove her resolve. Excel apologizes that Castor couldn't be pulled to Souma's side. Souma also thanks Juna for being the link between Excel and himself. Hakuya says that the Principality of Amidonia's army is approaching the border and the conquest is set to begin.
