Summary[]
Gaius and a few of his men head straight for Souma aiming to kill him. Carla realizes this and lets Souma know. Ludwin clashes with 'Gaius' only for it to be a body double. Souma doesn't want to be sacrificed but gives ownership of Carla's collar to Liscia in case the worst happens. Carla can't believe it and makes Souma order her to kill the real Gaius. Carla knows that Souma doesn't want to be king but she doesn't want Souma to die because it would make Liscia sad. Gaius is baffled at Carla's actions but Carla says that although she despises Souma, she'll follow his orders to keep her friends happy. She brings Gaius down and notes that Gaius is a terrible king. Gaius rebukes her claim and attacks Carla with earth magic.
