Margarita Wonder (マルガリタ・ワンダー, Marugarita Wandā) is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series. She was a general of the army of the Principality of Amidonia.
Appearance[]
Margrita Wonder is a woman who appears to be around thirty to forty years old. She has a muscular build that stands nearly two meters tall.
Personality[]
Margarita is very loyal and patriotic to her country. Her personality is initially stern and inflexible but later becomes more accepting and open-minded.
She later develops a fondness for singing, with the style of rhythm and blues.
Biography[]
Margarita Wonder is a very strong-willed woman who was able to rise above the Amidonian-stereotype that all females should be submissive. Despite the militaristic and oppressive rule of the Amidonian Royal Family, she was able to enlist in the army and rise to the rank of general. Due to her leadership and martial skills, she eventually became the commander to Van's garrison. At some point, Margarita married and had children. By her own assertion, her husband is not a very memorable or outstanding man, implying she takes the dominant role in their relationship.
During the occupation of Van after the One Week War, she was placed under house arrest. Once she heard about the Lorelei Broadcast, she volunteered to be a guest singer. She takes the opportunity to sing Amidonia's national anthem with the goal of stirring up patriotism among the citizens and perhaps incite a rebellion. Following the performance, she was fully prepared to die for such an act, but Kazuya Souma instead praised her for singing from the heart. During the negotiation concerning POWs, Elfrieden's new king asked she be allowed to remain in his country. Julius Amidonia agreed in exchange for the return of five Amidonian nobles.
She would later have a career as an R&B singer and host of her own broadcasting program.
Wonder later appears as a member of the Friedonian National Defense Force, having been stationed along the border to watch for suspicious activity. While in the company of Lunarian Orthodox Bishop Souji Lester, the lascivious clergyman attempts to flirt with her, only to learn she is already married. The unlikely duo encounters former Saint Mary Valenti, who requests to speak with Souji in private concerning recent developments within the Orthodox Papal State of Lunaria. Wonder remains outside to guard the door during their meeting.
