Appearance[]

Mio is a lion beastman. She possesses lion ears atop her head and a lion tail. She has dirty blonde hair and has a nice figure when it is not obscured by her armor.

Personality[]

Mio carries herself as a warrior, having taken after her father, Georg Carmine. She has a strong sense of honor and cares intensely about her family. While strong in martial ways, she is inept at most other things, having neglected other studies in her youth. She cares little for proper etiquette when the situation does not call for it, but strictly follows it went the situation does.

Biography[]

Mio was born in the Carmine Duchy of the Elfrieden Kingdom. Though her exact age is not given, it is stated in such a way that she is perhaps a year or two older than Liscia. Growing up, despite both of her parents insistence, she took after her father, Georg Carmine, training her martial abilities. She would later join the military academy and serve under her father. She frequently would go with him to the sites of border skirmishes with the Principality of Amidonia, which is where she would occasionally meet Julius Amidonia and Gatsby Colbert. Though she could not understand why, her father had a level of respect for Colbert, something that would come back to her later in life.

To prevent Mio and her mother from being accused of treason during the civil war, Georg disinherited Mio and forcibly removed her from the country. Mio, in a sense, is similar to Carla in that she did not wish to abandon her father during the civil war, thus why Georg was forced to have her knocked out. As such, she was not in Elfrieden when he was summarily captured and died in prison. Mio would mourn his passing, and later resolved herself to find the truth as to his intentions with the rebellion.

In order to do this, Mio entered the Great Martial Arts Tournament in the Mercenary State Zem. The prize for the winner of the tournament is to have one's wish granted, within reason. Mio would progress through the tournament and ultimately win, making her wish able to be said.

At some point during the tournament, King Gimbal Zem had an invitation sent to Kazuya to witness the finals of the Grand Martial Arts Tournament. King Zem had Mio deliver the invitation to the border of the Amidonia Region, and it was initially received by Owen Jabana. Kazuya would accept this invitation and arrived several days before the finals. King Zem assigned Mio to show Kazuya and the others around, and Mio would have a practice sparing session with Aisha. Though she lost the sparing session, Mio considered it good practice.

Mio's wish was to ask King Zem to have Kazuya reopen an investigation into the motives of Georg Carmine's rebellion. King Zem did not believe that he was capable of doing so, however, as Kazuya was present he turned to him for his opinions. Kazuya agreed to reopen the investigation if Mio triumphed over his greatest warrior, Kagetora. Mio accepted and the two dueled. Mio was shocked that Kagetora seemed to be able to read her movements and continued to offer advice during the match. At Kazuya's direction, Kagetora threw the match, meaning that Mio won. Despite this, Mio was left confused and unsatisfied as Kagetora seemed to remind her of her father Georg Carmine. Kazuya vowed to reopen the investigation and offered to allow both Mio and her mother to return to Elfrieden.

Mio would join Kazuya and his delegation to a secret meeting. It is not entirely clear if this meeting was suggested within the previously mentioned invitation or was arranged afterwards, but the first in-person meeting between King Souma A Elfrieden and Empress Maria Euphoria occurred an the mountains of Zem, much to Mio's confusion.

After returning to Friedonia, Kazuya informed Mio of the true details of her father's rebellion and publicly released a version of the story as well, beginning the restoration of Georg Carmine's honor. During a Jewel Voice Broadcast, Kazuya and Liscia made a public apology at Georg's grave site. He would also go on to restore the Carmine house, with Mio as its head, and return the city of Randel as the seat of the Carmine domain. Mio quickly became distressed, as in neglecting her studies in her youth left her unable to manage her new domain. In desperation, she remembered her father's respect for Colbert, and vaguely requested that Kazuya send him to aid her in managing the domain, even offering to marry whoever was sent. Kazuya and Hakuya had the same idea and sent Colbert in an attempt to play matchmaker and prevent the immediate collapse of the reestablished house.

Mio is currently attempting to run the new Carmine domain with the aid of Colbert. She is also actively trying to seduce him.Which she was successful at.

Powers & Abilities[]

Martial Ability[]

Mio has great strength and reflexes from her race, honed through martial training under her father. She is capable of dual-wielding longswords. She could hold her own against the likes of Aisha in a sparring match, matching her in both power and skills. A further testament to her abilities is that she was to win Great Martial Arts Tournament in the Mercenary State Zem.
