Volume 01[]
- Episode 0「第０話」
- About a year before the Summoning, Kazuya Souma along with his friends Tatsuya & Yoshiaki was hanging out in the classroom talking about Kazuya's weird old-man taste in literature and music. Tatsuya suggested to Kazuya to read Light Novels based on the currently popular Isekai genre with OP main characters instead of stuffy old books like "The Prince" by Machiavelli, to which he said he would try them out. Kazuya's friends also commented how because of his old-man tastes, it would be hard for him to get any girlfriend in the near future, to which Kazuya replies that he had already given up on that, while thinking to himself that there is no chance for him to get married either, unless its an arranged marriage.
- Around the same time on Landia, Liscia Elfrieden is addressing a speech to the Border Patrol Force of Elfrieden, in order to boosts the morale of the soldiers stationed at the border to protect against Amidonia and other hostile Kingdoms. Liscia had been traveling around the Kingdom along with Georg Carmine to survey the lands and boost the morale of the people and soldiers, but feels that she is hopeless as while her Kingdom can fight against the enemy kingdoms, but her Kingdom is suffering from food crisis and refugee problems (because of the expansion of the Demon Lord's Domain), which is a far bigger problem. While complaining about this to a female officer, she wishes to find a person who could help her solve the internal issue of her Kingdom, for which she would do anything required, even marry that person if needed.
Volume 02[]
- The Setting Sun in Parnam「パルナムの夕日」
- Upon Kazuya's request Aisha Udgard had been helping him train in swordsmanship, but because of his low stamina, lack of exercise because of only doing desk-work, and the unfamiliar European styled based sword-fighting techniques, there isn't much progress in his training. Aisha ask as to why Kazuya is forcing himself to learn sword-fighting, when she can easily defend him. But Kazuya complains that he isn't doing much and is instead forcing others to fight in his place, so he wants to learn combat-technique so that he could help out when needed. To this Aisha comments that what Kazuya is doing is already enough, and while carrying Kazuya in a princess carry, she takes him to a high tower in the castle and shows him the development and changes that Kazuya had been slowly implementing in the Kingdom which is helping it grow. She wants Kazuya to live and be with him along with others to see the changes that he would make, and hopes that he won't be so hard on himself. The scenery in the evening sun, looks beautiful to Kazuya, while thanking Aisha for giving him the encouragement that he needed.
