Sha Bon or Shabon ("シャ・ボン" or "シャボン") is a character of Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki series.
She is the daughter of Sha Na or Shana, the ruler of Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago Union.
Appearance[]
Shabon is described as a young, eighteen year-old girl. She has emerald green hair and, as a member of the mermaid race, has fin-like projections in place of human ears and similar, translucent fins on her arms. When she first met with Kazuya, his initial impression also noted that she was pale and had a dead look in her eyes.
Personality[]
Shabon tends to carry an air that Kazuya refers to as tragic resignation. While she is intelligent, she lacks experience and wisdom to often express her true intentions and desires. Ultimately, she cares for the people of the Archipelago and seeks to do whatever she can to protect them.
Biography[]
Shabon, or Sha Bon, is the daughter of the Nine-Headed Dragon King Shana and an unknown mother. It is unknown if she has any other siblings at this time.
With the situation in the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago deteriorating due to the presence of the monster Ooyamizuchi, Shabon plotted to try and intervene on behalf of the Archipelago in what she foresaw as a coming conflict with the Kingdom of Friedonia. With Kishun supporting her, she made her way to Friedonia where she met with Kazuya. Unfortunately, both she and Kishun were unaware of the secret plans that were already in motion between the Kingdom of Friedonia and her father, Shana.
In an attempt to gain Kazuya’s mercy for the people of the Archipelago, Shabon offered herself to be used as a ‘tool,’ as she believed that war was about to break out. This included an offer to Kazuya to be bound in a political marriage. While Kazuya was troubled by her offers, as while useful they could interfere with Friedonia’s secret plan, he was willing to hear Shabon’s pleas. Unfortunately for Shabon, she likened her situation to that of Roroa and the Principality of Amidonia, which Kazuya took great offense to. Though she learned about the way Kazuya saw Roroa’s actions differing greatly from her own through Kishun and Hakuya, Shabon would continue to offer herself to Kazuya at their second meeting. Though her comparative misstep was forgiven by Kazuya, both Liscia and he would reject Shabon’s marriage proposal, citing that she was not in a position to be happy about it.
Though she did not know of the secret plans occurring behind the scenes between Friedonia and the Archipelago, Kazuya questioned Shabon about her particular word choices that she used, forcing her to reveal the information she had about the Ooyamizuchi problem. Since Ooyamizuchi was the second motivating reason behind her trip, Shabon would reveal everything she knew in the hopes that it would secure Kazuya’s, and thus Friedonia’s, aid in eradicating the monster.
Shabon, Kishun, and a small contingent of Friedonians including Kazuya would return to the Archipelago. There, she assisted in discerning the information in reports about Ooyamizuchi, allowing Ichiha to build a monster profile of the creature. She would go on to assist in the coordination of the plan to entrap and fight against the monster. During the Battle of the Parent and Child Islands, Shabon was aboard the Friedonian vessel Albert II.
During the peace negotiations following the battle against Ooyamizuchi, Shabon would learn more of the details originally formed in secret between he father Shana and Kazuya. At Shana’s insistence, Shabon would except the credit for bringing the Friedonian fleet to the aid of the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago to eliminate Ooyamizuchi while he would take all the blame for the Archipelago’s perceived slights. He would thus abdicate the throne to Shabon, making her the new Dragon Queen.
Shabon would work to establish the conditions set forth during the negotiations for the benefit of the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago. She would also suggest that her future child be married to one of Kazuya’s children, either Cian or Kazuha, in an effort to further solidify the two country’s forthcoming alliance.
