Family[]
Liscia Elfrieden[]
Liscia is the First Primary Queen and is a strong-willed individual. At first she didn't know what to make of the newly-instated king and he did not act like a hero. However, in time she would fall in love with Kazuya and would become pregnant with their first twins a year later. Kazuya loves her just as much.
Aisha Udgard[]
Aisha is completely loyal to Kazuya and takes her role as his personal bodyguard seriously. She falls in love with after he helped her clan with clearing up the rubble from a serious mudslide that killed many dark elves including Aisha's aunt. Kazuya reciprocates her feelings by making her the Second Primary Queen.
Roroa Amidonia[]
Roroa is the Third Primary Queen and has a kind of friendly rivalry with Liscia for Kazuya's affections. However, she looks up to Liscia as a kind of big sister and does find Kazuya to be a 'fun person' to be married to.
Juna Doma[]
Juna Doma is the First Secondary Queen and is in love with Kazuya. She finds his ideas and realism to be invigorating. After seeing Kazuya overburden himself with his duties as the king after returning from the God Protected forest, Juna is asked by Liscia to comfort him which she obliges by singing him a lullaby so that he could sleep leading to him crying. After seeing him cry, she decides that since Liscia is the one that brings out the strength in him, she would be the one to hide his weaknesses. She later marries Kazuya and takes his family name: Souma.
Naden Delal[]
Naden is the Second Secondary Queen and is his bonded Dragon. She is grateful for Kazuya in helping her realize her potential and is in love with him.
Maria Euphoria[]
Souma and Maria's relationship was slowly established of the course of the light novel. Upon the death of her father Maria would rise as Empress of a faltering Grand Chaos Empire at a time when the other nations were falling to the monster waves. Wanting to stabilize the situation and see people begin to hope again Maria reworked the Empire and established the Mankind Declaration. Her policies got her the adoration of the people of Landia, but at great personal cost. Despite Jeanne and Trill being with her Maria was alone and unable to be true to herself.
She became known as "The Saint of the Empire"
After Souma was summoned and began to rebuild Elfrieden she was infatuated with him, finally someone who she could be herself with. She didn't hide her affections of him in the least and confided in him her intention to dismantle the Empire, something she didn't share with either of her sisters.
As Fuuga's army surrounded Valoris Maria had finally reached the end of her rope, both to protect her people and to spite Fuuga she threw herself from the balcony of her office, she was saved by Souma's timely intervention and that night she shared her first kiss with him and broke down in his arms releasing all the pent up emotions and pain she had kept hidden as Empress.
Maria cut her hair to signify her new life and married Souma along side Yuriga, She busies herself with traveling around Friedonia building schools and hospitals. Singing and Dancing for charity and solving people's ills. Her work has given her a new nickname to symbolize her rebirth.
"The Angel of Friedonia"
Souma first meet Yuriga in the Duchy of Chima during the demon wave. Yuriga didn't think highly of Souma while he remained unperturbed of her verbal barbs.
Upon returning to Friedonia their relationship would begin to improve. Souma would at first be another older brother like figure to Yuriga helping to widen her world views. After the time skip he had established a familial bond with her but was still blindsided by their sudden betrothal. At first he struggled to see her as a wife but by vol 18 his affections were romantic and the two made love.
As of the web novel the two have their own child and are raising Fuuga's son together.
